Artist Statement

I create surreal amalgamations of the human body to reveal how emotions and actions are connected in an internal world. These works are an exploration of both internal and societal changes regarding religious beliefs. I use a wide variety of techniques to emphasize the contrasting stillness and chaos found in processing new and changing ideas. My work investigates the ways beliefs shape our identities and lives, and what happens when those beliefs change.
